Program Details
The Mastercam Certificate program is designed for students wishing to further pursue a career in machining or manufacturing with an emphasis in Mastercam programming. This type of Certificate Program typically leads to entry to intermediate level careers as a machinist, toolmaker, CNC operator, CNC programmer, manufacturing engineer, process engineer, field service technician as well as a number of other manufacturing/service positions. This certificate requires a total of 9 units. All classes must be completed with a grade of C or better.

- Demonstrate proficiency in Mastercam programming by preparing numerical control programs for CNC machine tools to machine piece parts per drawing specifications.
- Demonstrate the ability to organize and construct geometry of 3D model parts for machining operations to evaluate tool paths.
- Evaluate and select tools for the material removal process and tool paths in the Mastercam program to produce rough and finish machining operations.
